What is a Hyaluon Pen and how does it work?
Hyaluron Pen is a very simple mechanical device that works on a spring loading action. Its not the same as a needle and syringe which will deposit filler in a specific targeted area. The device has a handle that once engaged, puts the spring under high tension and is held in place till the trigger button is released. When the trigger is released it hits the plunger of the ampule under high pressure which then squirts the filler out of a tiny hole the size of a human hair. By using the correct gripping techniques the skill of the technician is required to target where the filler should be placed so you get more volume where it is intended to be and in order to achieve the best and longer lasting effects.
What filler do you use?
Hyalax Light has been found to be one of the best performing dermal fillers to be used with our Hyaluron pen needle free injecting device, which is a 23mg/ml low cross linked hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule produced naturally in the human body. The main function of hyaluronic acid is to keep the skin moist, to provide volume and to assist in the formation of new tissue. As we get older, our hyaluronic acid production decreases. Hyalax Light, is a monophonic gel implant, based on hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin and it gives better duration of the effect than others which have been tested so far. Non- cross linked hyaluronic acid in its natural form is liquid. Crosslinking is the process through which hyaluronic acid is turned into a gel that can be injected into the skin for long-lasting results.
How long does needle free derma filler last?
The effects of the treatment with Hyalax are long-lasting, but not permanent. The effect lasts around 6 to 9 months.
Does it hurt?
Before starting the procedure, we recommend a numbing cream to be applied to make the treatment more comfortable with the minimum of discomfort.
Are there possible side effects?
No needle filler eliminates the risks and pain associated with needles.
After the treatment, related reactions may occur such as some mild swelling, possible bruising and redness. These usually recede after a few hours, although bruising can last several days and upto 2 weeks. Most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment. It takes 24-48 hours for the skin to return to normal, revealing a more youthful appearance with fuller lips and softer lines.
