Freckle Tattoo The Treatment

Creation of artificial freckles, using specialist cosmetic tattooing techniques

Fast Questions and Answers

  • Typically, freckles appear naturally across the nose and upper cheeks of the face, giving a sun-kissed appearance. A freckle tattoo is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure designed to emulate the appearance of genuine freckles.

The process involves placement of freckle marks through the implantation of pigments in freckle hues.  Comparable to beauty spots, freckle tattoos involve the use of lighter shades, and a greater quantity is strategically placed to achieve the desired effect.

  • Just like any other permanent makeup or cosmetic tattoo procedure, on average freckles will last between one and three years.

  • A cosmetic tattoo is different from a conventional tattoo, traditional tattoos are made using ink.  In cosmetic tattooing we use pigments which means that your freckles can be applied in colours that will look realistic.

Renée will always work conservatively, if suitable, freckles are applied in two or three sessions so that they are built up gradually, giving the appearance that they were always there.

Renée’s creative expertise and up to date knowledge of pigment implantation will always result in a natural and realistic enhancement.

  • Freckles have recently become beautified and fashionable but this does not mean that they suit everyone.  If you are someone who already applies freckles with makeup and has been doing so for a long time and you know you really would like them to stay then this treatment is most definitely for you. Those who are interested should always have a face-to-face consultation first.

  • An in-depth consultation will be carried out before any treatment.

The procedure is both safe and medically approved when carried out by a competent technician.  Renée has undertaken rigorous training in all aspects of the preparation and application of micropigmentation.

The products used at The Dermatography Clinic have a history of long-term use.  Developed in Europe by the leading manufacturers of digital machines and permanent make-up consumables, our pigments are of the purest quality and carry a certificate to verify hygiene and pharmaceutical grade.

How does the Freckle Tattoo procedure work?

For the past few seasons, freckle tattoos have been growing in trend.  Freckles can give you a sun-kissed look without getting sun damage.  To some, natural freckles may be annoying and embarrassing. To others, they’re a fashion statement. In fact, freckles are so trendy now, freckles have been beautified.  Believe it or not, the new trend in facial beauty flecks has been inspired by Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle.

As with beauty spots, freckles are also often enhanced with colour from an eyebrow pencil or pen. At The Dermatography Clinic we utilise the latest micropigmentation techniques to create artificial freckles that are entirely indistinguishable from the real thing. They last much longer than makeup, only requiring top-ups every few years, and remove the need to use makeup to distinguish your freckles.

Freckles can mean different things to different people. Clients will usually have freckles done to draw attention to an area or feature on their face, to their shoulder, neck or breast. Sometimes freckles can mean so much more.
